Who We Are

Created by Asian small business owners, AEDA (Asian Economic Development Association) is a 501c3 grassroots economic development organization with a special focus on micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses in low-income Asian Minnesotan communities. AEDA provides Asian entrepreneurs and business owners access to business information, resources and, advocacy.

AEDA advocates to affect policy, create resources, and empower Asian entrepreneurs and businesses. AEDA advocates for smart growth community-driven development that enhances existing low-income communities.

Marketing & Branding

AEDA is developing marketing strategies to strengthen and reposition Asian small businesses on University Avenue to survive light rail construction and prosper long after.

Education

AEDA’s goal is to provide access to information and training for Asian micro-entrepreneurs and businesses.

Engagement & Organizing

Through organizing and outreach, AEDA develops Asian entrepreneur and business leadership to provide community-based solutions.

Community Planning

AEDA collaborates with businesses, residents, and organizations for community-driven sustainable development.
